Some people are born with the “gift” to inspire us to reach our potential. Chris Kettner, aka “The Specialist” a Naval veteran, is one of those unique individuals. Born in Richmond, Virginia, this gifted communicator hit the ground running after proudly serving his country. In a very short time he had become one of the most prolific and successful door to door salesmen in the U.S. With over 40 years of one on one sales experience, he has been recognized with numerous awards, including 5 “man of the year awards” (3 consecutively). As a published author, he penned the highly respected trade manual “The Sales and Management Bible”. He jokingly quips “I have personally interviewed over 250,000 families in their homes, and that doesn’t count the 2 million that didn’t let me in the door. “The Specialist” nickname was given to him over the years for his unique style of teaching, delivery, and attention to minute details.
With his highly honed communication skills, radio seemed like a natural evolution, Chris has been the host of the hugely successful radio show “The Specialist Radio Hour” where he has interviewed more than 2500 national and international guests. The popular and sometimes controversial segment “The Political Shootout with The Specialist”, brings together different facets of the political world to have panel discussions about local, national, and international issues.
Public Speaking was another natural fit. After years of teaching sales and management, motivational speaking, hosting his own radio show, as well as emceeing, Chris found himself in demand providing teaching, training, and consulting for professional public speakers.
Chris’ expertise has been utilized by U.S. Congressman U.S. Senators, political candidates, Military Brass, Navy Seals, NASA officials, corporate leaders, attorneys and yes, even a world Champion fisherman. He has over 31 political campaigns to his credit as a speech coach. Chris uses his years of experience not only to teach his clients how to speak, but everything from gestures, voice inflection, facial expressions, body language, tonality, eye contact, and all one ever needs to know about how to properly and effectively communicate. His clientele is national but his techniques are universal. Chris loves to share what he has learned over the years. He says his greatest joy is “teaching.” Chris believes “taking all this knowledge to the grave would be unforgivable”.
